Dear NDBF Family, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Phil 1:3-6 As we continue to navigate through this season of change and challenge, we are continually reminded of God’s faithfulness in each of our lives. We rest confidently in the assurance that nothing happens without permission from God and that He remains in control. We are so grateful for each of you and how you are doing your individual part to stay connected to one another. Calls, texts, virtual meetings, running errands- all ways we are meeting the needs of the body. And beyond that, we know there are numerous things individuals are doing within the community to be a light and spread the love of Christ. Let’s continue to find ways to meet needs within and without. During this time, many churches are experiencing a decrease in giving for varying reasons. Thank you, New Direction, for continuing to faithfully give. Your continued faithful giving allows us to continue doing the work God has given us to do now as well as continue to prepare for the work ahead. Last week, we were overwhelmed with the faithfulness of the members of our church. We received many first time Web Bill Pay gifts as well as Mail In and Drop Offs. While we are practicing physical distancing, let’s continue to find ways to connect with one another. Also use this opportunity to spend more time before the Lord, allowing Him to speak to you personally. Pray continually, thank Him constantly, and Trust Him completely. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:7 COVID 19 Update: As of Today, Friday, April 3rd, we are still practicing social distance so the church will be closed. However, please continue to tune in to our live stream service and follow our email regarding Communion and Palm Sunday guidance for this Sunday’s service. In light of the April 30th extension, our next update will be on Friday, May 1st. If anything changes prior to that date, we will alert you. In Christ, Pastor Benson |
