Women’s Ministry

Ministry Leader | Dr. Vaughn

Dr. Vaughn Wright has been privileged to serve in the biblical teaching realm for over 40 years. While her audiences have been middle through high school aged students, coed adult Sunday School classes, singles ministries, small group women’s groups throughout college, closest to her heart are the Women’s Empowerment Hour Sunday morning opportunities, now over more than 11 years.

Bringing the Word of God to life, on a simplistic and practical level has always been her commitment and greatest joy.  Delving into the trenches of comprehension and correction require tears, turned pages, homework assignments, and even a little Hebrew to Greek historical perspectives. There is nothing greater than seeing a light bulb displayed, or a life converted because of the powerful understanding and renewed application of taught and applied Word. To that end, removing fig leaves before and with every vessel God brings in the early morn classes, continues to be a treasure beyond belief for Vaughn.

Personally, Vaughn is the proud mommy of one chosen son, Emmitt, and a committed servant to the field of healthcare professionally.

Ministry Verse

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20

Who We Are

We are young and mature women, purposed to grow each of us, as though there was one of us, honoring the unique scope and talents God has given each of us, for the development, edification, and equipment towards the fulfillment of God’s purposes for her life and for His glory. To expose women to the comfort, care, and context of God’s Word. Titus 2:3-5 – God has set us apart to bear His image first, for service to our family, and to the church. He has charged us to embody essential characteristics, purposed to bring Him glory:
Be godly in your behavior.
Be truthful and kind in your speech.
Be disciplined and self-controlled.
Be devoted to your husband.
Be devoted to your children.
Be discreet and wise in your actions.
Be chaste and pure inside and out.
Be focused on your home.
Be kind and good to all.
Be a teacher/encourager of good things.

the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—  that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5

What We Do

We gather corporately to learn from God’s Word, to embrace the gifts and talents God has given to all women, and to extend ourselves as God leads beyond the scope of our walls for purpose of meeting needs. Our ministry purpose is to provide internal and external opportunities for women, to share, care resemble and reflect the love of God through His Son Jesus Christ, in the changing face of women in our local church environment. (Titus 2:3-4)

Think This Is Where You Are Called To Serve
